My color is off with darkroom at an event. I’m printing with a dye sub

Open Darkroom Core or Pro. At the bottom of the screen click on the “Photoworkshop” tab, then click on the “color Balance”tab.

1) On the right hand side of the screen click on “Color Balance” select none.
2) Click on “Color Balance,” select “Automatic,” Click O.K.
3) At the top of the screen Click on “Attributes.”
4) Click on Save to, select system Defaults (this will change future imported images)
5) Click on “Attributes” again, click on Apply to all in Catalog, select “System Defaults.” (this will affect all current images.)

If using a Mitsubishi Printer D70

Click on the “Setup Tab.” Then click on “Printer Options”

1) Select you Mitsubishi printer by double clicking on the name.
2) A dialog box will open, click on the “Properties” button.
3) Select the “Options” tab. Color Matching should be “Unchecked,” Color Conversions should be set to “Table 1.” Click O.K.
4) Do this for all your D70 printers.


Set your ICC Profile in Windows.

Go to Windows, select Devices and Printers.

1) Right click on your printer. Select “Printer Properties.”
2) Click on the “Color Management” tab.
3) Click on the “Color Management” button, select the “Devices” tab.
4) Click on the down arrow in the “Device” selection area. Select your printer.
5) Set profile selection to “Manual.”
6) Click on “Add.”
7) A dialog box will open, select your printers icc profile. If it’s not there go to the printer manufacturer and download te icc profile.
8) For a Mitsubishi D70 printer select “CP70_ST” file name CP70FST.icc for standard prints at 300dpi. (Event prints)
9) Click Close.

Camera

Most Dye subs print SRGB. Make sure your camera is set to SRB.

Your color should now look really good.
